Surely we all have bigger things going on right now to worry about than whether people on Instagram are dressing in the way that we think is appropriate.
Then again, with nothing else to do, it might be entertaining, or at least some people think so.
Padma is also a model, author, and an actress, as well as obviously a huge fan of cooking. On her Instagram account, she frequently shares recipes and cooking videos.
In one video recipe, fans noticed that Padma was not wearing a bra, and some felt the need to comment on this.
"Is no one going to comment on why she feels the need to put her nipples on social media in every video? No? Just sad," wrote another fan.
"No, because everyone is an adult here, Natalie," Padma began her reply, which honestly would've been enough on its own to make a good enough point.
"If I don't want to wear a bra in my kitchen sometimes during this everlasting quarantine that shouldn't be any of your concern," she finished.
“I got some comments last time that it was immoral for me to not wear a bra in my own kitchen during the quarantine,” Padma began her latest recipe video.
In the video, Padma is hilariously wearing two sports bras on top of each other, without a shirt on overtop.
"But seriously, let’s not police women’s bodies in 2020 ok?” she wrote.
"Immoral," one fan commented with an eye rolling emoji. "I literally made dinner tonight with no pants." Another added, "There's not a chance in hell I'm wearing a bra in my own home."
"Braless in tank top is my at home wardrobe. I felt seen!!! lol. Thank you for being a regular woman who is letting the animals run wild at home!" they continued.
"I never even noticed what @padmalakshmi was wearing. Damn grow up," another added.
"Why are people so uncomfortable with a fellow woman's nipple?" asked one comment.
Obviously, Padma and her fans have no time for body-shamers, and it's awesome to see!
