93-Year-Old's Plea For 'More Beer' Gets A 150-Can Delivery Courtesy Of Coors

The good and responsible thing for those at particular risk during the COVID-19 pandemic is to let their friends, family, and neighbors know when they're in need of something so they can stay home where they're safer.

It was in that spirit that Pennsylvania's Olive Veronesi held up a plea, handwritten on a whiteboard, at her window, letting her neighbors know, "I need more beer!"

The 93-year-old's sign and smile quickly became a viral sensation.

And of course, she held up a can of her favorite brew, Coors Light, to let everyone know her preference.

Before long, a local TV station took notice and posted her pic on their Facebook page, where more than five million people saw it.

After that, Olive didn't have to worry about her neighbors coming through with a case of beer for her.

That's because many of those following along made sure that the good folks at Molson Coors knew about Olive's predicament.

To their credit, Coors came through, literally delivering a supply of beer to Olive's front door.

In fact, Olive is set for quite some time now.

The Coors folks delivered 10 cases to Olive, a total of 150 cans, which she immediately cracked into after the delivery guys dropped off their supply on her front porch.

That stack of cans should last Olive a good, long time.

Olive told KDKA that she has a can a day.

"I was on my last 12 cans, I have a beer every night, you know what, beer has vitamins in it, it’s good for you, as long as you don’t overdo it," she said.
