Christopher Meloni Returning As Elliot Stabler For 'Law & Order: SVU' Spin-Off

Law & Order: SVU is currently on its 21st season, which, needless to say, means that it's doing very well.

In fact, it's doing so well, that the show - and one very special character - are getting a spin-off!

Elliot Stabler will be returning!

The show, currently, will consist of 13 episodes. It will be a drama series that will follow Stabler as he leads an NYPD crime unit.

So we can definitely be counting on tons of action and drama to keep us interested.

Last we saw of Stabler, he had retired, so it will be interesting to see what makes him return to the force!

The show really hasn't been the same without him!

Christopher even confirmed the exciting news himself on Facebook!

And naturally, his post has over ten thousand comments, because obviously this is the good news we needed to hear in these dark times.

Since leaving the show, Christopher has been keeping himself pretty busy.

He played Ray Whelans in Veep, August Pullman in Underground, Nick Sax in Happy! and many, many more.

As expected, fans are completely freaking out about the news.

And of course, are already hoping for that sweet sweet reunion with Olivia.

And if a reunion doesn't happen... well...

There's a very good chance that fans may never recover. That's all I'll say about that.

Do you have any fan theories on what could happen in the new series?

Are you hoping for any other reunions?
