Ryan Reynolds Jokingly Shades Other Celebs During Coronavirus Message

Leave it up to Ryan Reynolds to provide some much-needed comedic relief during the coronavirus.

The Deadpool actor just shaded celebs (ahem, looking at you, Gal Gadot) in a new video and it's a total must-see.

By now, you've heard all about the coronavirus, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Since February, it's affected millions around the world, killing over 18,000 people.

To help prevent its spread, celebrities — and their resources — have gotten involved.

This, however, has been a hit-or-a-miss.

While some did amazing things like donate money to global relief, others, well, missed the mark...

Vanessa Hudgens, for instance, found herself in hot water after she posted a controversial video.

In it, she responded to claims that the coronavirus would carry on until July.

"Til July sounds like a bunch of [expletive] I'm sorry," Hudgens said.

"But like, it's a virus, I get it, I respect it but at the same time like, even if everybody gets it, like, yeah, people are gonna die, which is terrible, but like, inevitable?"

"I don't know. Maybe I shouldn't be doing this right now."

Fans were not happy with her insensitive remarks.

This left the High School Musical star with no choice but to apologize.

"Hey guys," she started. "So yesterday I did an Instagram Live and I realized today that some of my comments are being taken out of context."

"It's a crazy time. It's a crazy, crazy time and I am at home and in lockdown and that's what I hope you guys are doing too - in full quarantine and staying safe and sane."

She concluded, "I don't take this situation lightly by any means. I am home. So stay inside y'all."

Then, both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ellen DeGeneres were dragged for their quarantine videos.

While Arnold's first PSA about the importance of staying home was well-received (his video featured his pet donkey and pony, after all), the same couldn't be said for the second one.

Fans found the actor's video of him smoking a cigar in a hot tub while preaching about staying at home "tone-deaf."

Some even pointed out the hypocrisy of Arnold smoking when COVID-19 causes respiratory issues.

As for Ellen, she spent the week complaining about how bored she is in isolation.

This caused a lot of people to get annoyed with her complaining when she has things so much easier than the rest of the world.

I mean, she spent her week cold-calling celebs. That's not a bad way to pass the time.

So with all these celeb fails going on, leave it up to Ryan Reynolds to shade them all!

The Deadpool actor did so recently after the Canadian Prime Minister called on him and a few other Canadian celebs to urge the nation to self-quarantine.

In his video, Ryan said that we need to "work together to flatten the curve" to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Then came the shade...

"I think in times of crisis, we all know that it's the celebrities we count on most," he said sarcasticly with a straight face.

"They're the ones that are going to get us through this."

"Right after health care workers, of course," he continued.

"First responders. People who work in essential services. Ping pong players. Mannequins, they're great. Childhood imaginary friends, sure. Like 400 other types of people."

To conclude his video, he switched back to serious mode as he stressed the importance of staying at home.

Ryan's not-so-subtle message to other celebrities was heard loud and clear by fans who agreed with his shade.

Ryan also nominated other celebs, such as Seth Rogen, to make a similar video to help #PlankTheCurve.

This is the kind of social media challenge we like to see.

Ryan and his wife, Blake Lively, have helped the cause in other ways.

Last week, they donated $1 million to be split between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

In other words, Blake and Ryan are crushing this whole 'being a celebrity during coronavirus.'

Other celebrities: put down the "Imagine" lyrics and be like Blake and Ryan.
