As the pandemic, COVID-19, continues to spread across the globe, causing deaths, panic, and a major shortage of toilet paper, hand sanitizer and food, musicians are postponing their tours until it's safe to gather in large groups again.
Despite artists unanimously canceling their shows, Post Malone has not, and he's getting the third degree for it.
It is causing worldwide hysteria as people try to stock up on the essentials, preparing to isolate themselves to stop the spread of the virus.
Most artists who were planning on touring sometime soon have released statements notifying their fans that show dates are being pushed back.
Despite the severity of the issue, however, there are some people, like Post Malone, that aren't overly concerned about it.
Just hours before the show, the venue released a statement, revealing that the concert would “proceed as scheduled”.
“We continue to monitor the current COVID-19 situation with local, state and federal authorities.”
This fan revealed that they were actually denied a refund — being forced to either attend the concert and risk being sick, or stay home and waste the money they spent on their ticket.
While the virus seems to have fairly mild symptoms in younger, healthy people, they can still pass the virus on to someone who is immunocompromised.
All things considered, maybe Pepsi Center should do the same.
So, they could be spreading it without even knowing that they have it.
It's definitely not a great look...
Given the fact that they are all well-aware of the pandemic that has caused a national emergency to be called, it doesn't seem wise to host a sold-out concert at a venue that holds 18,000-plus people.
Probably for the best.
Seeing Post Malone live is not worth the cost of catching the coronavirus and potentially spreading it to someone who could die because of it. Sorry, not sorry, Posty!
It's definitely not fair that fans were being forced to choose between the risk of catching the virus to see Post Malone perform live, or completely wasting the money they spent on their ticket for the sake of their health.
Seems counter-productive, but okay.
