Actor Idris Elba has confirmed via social media that he has tested positive for the Coronavirus, or COVID-19. Elba is one of the first major celebrities to reveal a positive diagnosis, after Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson last week.

Elba announced he has tested positive through a video shared to his Twitter.

"This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus," the actor shared.
"Stay home people and be pragmatic."
"I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic," he wrote.
