But the real takeaway was her seemingly candid remarks about her relationship with food.

While everyone's relationship with food might be different, we all have one.
So, this was super relatable!
After sharing a photo, campaigning for her fashion line, Eva Mendes Collection from New York & Company, she commented, admitting that the photo was retouched.
Something not many people would feel comfortable to confess — especially to such a large audience.
But Eva has always been fairly body-positive. Not long ago, she fended off a troll that made a negative comment regarding her age.

After being called "old", Eva replied: “Yes your right. Thank God I’m getting old".
"It didn’t. It makes me feel grateful."

Anyways, after a fan commented this on her photo, she got real about her online appearance.

It's rare to see a celebrity respond to fan comments.
But I guess Eva is no ordinary celeb because she commented thoroughly.

She explained that although it's difficult for her to keep up with social media, she loves using it to connect with her fellow women.

She then revealed that while she looks stunning in the photo, it didn't exactly happen organically.
"This is actually a campaign shot and it was retouched. So I want women to know that,” she wrote.

She admitted that, like many people, her relationship with food isn't always easy.
