Hayden Panettiere Is Nearly Unrecognizable With New Hair Cut
Hayden Panettiere's return to social media has been quite dramatic!
In the past two months, she's debuted not one but two major hair transformations.
And of course, she looked flawless with them both.
The first was this pixie cut, which the "Nashville" star debuted back in December.

"Channeling my inner #Kirby #Scream4 Thanks to my boys @anthonyleonard," she wrote, referencing her character's hair in the movie Scream 4.
In case you're wondering what inspired the major change, "E! News" spoke to her hairdresser, Leonard Zagami.

"Hayden was looking for a radical change, so last night we just went for it! It's a modern version of a classic pixie style with a little more of an edge," he said.
In addition to the cut being mega-different, so was her color.

"The color is silver, but not grey. She had previously been going with a super sexy blonde."

When Panettiere debuted the new style, it was the first time the star had posted on social media in 10 months.
She reportedly stayed off social media after going through some major drama in her personal life: her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was arrested.
He allegedly got into a violent confrontation with Panettiere.
Hickerson, who had been dating the actress for only a year at the time, pleaded not guilty to the one count of felony domestic violence.

Other intense measures also took place.
A restraining order was placed against him, making him unable to be within 100 yards of the actress.
This past September, the case was dismissed and the couple has since reconciled — much to the dismay of her family and friends.

"Hayden and Brian got back together as soon as the restraining order was lifted," a source told E! News at the time.
"Neither one of them wanted the restraining order in place and it was the only thing preventing them from being together."

This led those closest to her to feel "frustrated and disappointed."
The couple spent this past Thanksgiving together and have been photographed showing PDA while out and about.
"Even though she knows they don't approve of him, Hayden is telling everyone that things are different this time," they added.

Before Hickerson, she was engaged to professional Ukranian boxer, Wladimir Klitschko, with whom she shares a five-year-old daughter named Kaya.
With all this drama hopefully behind her, clearly a new look was in order!
In addition to the edgy pixie cut, the Ice Princess star recently debuted another bold look.
