Ever since the original "Grumpy Cat", a feline named Tardar Sauce, passed away in May 2019, people have been on the hunt for a moody meower to take up the mantle.
Of course, there is no replacing Grumpy Cat and since the memes will always exist, it's not like we need a replacement. The search is mostly an excuse to discover and appreciate some of the more expressive faces in the feline world.
Meow Meow's dark cheeks and light forehead give her a furrowed brow look that's enhanced by her short nose.
Though she always looks pissed off, Meow Meow's human, Clare, says that she's a very affectionate cat.
She told Bored Panda that Meow Meow had been abandoned by her previous owner as a kitten and came into Clare's life at 10 months old.
As many people have noted, Meow Meow could be dubbed "Grumpier Cat" since she looks particularly angry.
It's a subtle difference, but Tardar Sauce's eyes looked more tired of the world in general, whereas Meow Meow would like to speak to the manager.
