Even though it's been a few years since we lost Prince, that doesn't stop the Grammys from paying tribute to one of the most beloved artists of all time.
Even though it's been a few years since we lost Prince, that doesn't stop the Grammys from paying tribute to one of the most beloved artists of all time.
The world, his family and his friends mourned the loss of the iconic star.
The world was changed by his music and presence.
There have been some, like at the Superbowl and whatnot, but none that were truly worthy of Prince.
Then, they announced they were going to do a tribute to him at this year's Grammys.
Usher, the man who gave the world "Yeah" (and arguably changed the aforementioned world for the better) was going to do a tribute to the one, the only: the artist formerly known as Prince.
Some people thought he did an amazing job and even dressed to fit the role.
Sheila E. and FKA Twigs joined him.
He also sang "When Doves Cry" and "Kiss." Needless to say, he sang it beautifully.
And of course, Usher showed off some of his fantastic moves that he has been using for years now.
And while it was something people were looking forward to, not everyone enjoyed Usher's performance.
Obviously, the two artists have very different styles and voices, but all things considered, we think he did a great job!
But Twitter? Not so much.
Come on Twitter, give him a break!
Who are we kidding? It's Twitter, and they are relentless.
During the performance, there was a stripper pole!
Fans had no idea why it was there.
But then again, it wouldn't be Twitter if they weren't angry about something, right?

Some people really enjoyed the performance and thought that the collaboration was well done!
But it wasn't exactly a popular opinion.
It's a valid point.
At the end of the day, all Usher could have done was try his best, and considering he is a very talented singer, he gave an entertaining performance!
This performance was no exception.
Some people weren't even caring much for the tribute since they were too busy lusting after Usher.
