11+ Brides Who Did Not Get The Fairy Tale Wedding They Wanted

Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life. It's supposed to be beautiful, perfect, and go off without a hitch (so to speak).

Unfortunately, we live in the real world. And if there's anything TLC reality shows have taught us, it's that weddings never go to plan.

Online dress shopping is a gamble.

And this bride definitely lost.

The gorgeous pantsuit up top wasn't quite as ordered. Instead of flowing fabric and amazing shoulder details, this bride got tapered pant legs and a lot of toilet paper-like shoulder flowers.

When your expectations get foiled.

This is the saddest expectation versus reality I've ever seen. I don't know what happened to that edible gold foil, but it wasn't anything good.

I guess they got the flowers... kind of right?

This bride's photo op had a tiny mishap.

And by tiny, I mean huge, obviously.

Honestly, silver lining? At least her friend let go of the veil and didn't pull the bride down with her. I would keep this video as a wedding keepsake.

I have nightmares like this.

Can you imagine trying to cut your cake, and suddenly the cake stands give out?

I would be torn between laughing and crying. And then I'd probably whip out a fork and eat floor cake.

This bride may be regretting her genius groom.

Imagine shaking a champagne bottle and not expecting it to explode everywhere... can't relate.

Luckily for the bride, most of the champagne hit him. But still — you gotta wonder what regrets were going through her head when she watched him do that.

This is just so sad.

I mean, the baker didn't even try here. I usually would give someone the benefit of the doubt, but I fully cannot. They couldn't even bother to match the color scheme. 0/10, would not eat or wear while playing bagpipes.

I still can't believe this happened.

Amy put out a challenge for Twitter to top her mother-in-law wearing a wedding dress to her wedding, and you know what? No one did, and I'm pretty sure no one ever could.

Confetti is a dangerous job.

I just can't imagine the level of pain the groom must have been in after being straight-up shot in the face by a confetti canon.

Note to self: Do not have a confetti canon at my wedding.

A sign of things to come?

When the groom can't stay awake at the reception that can't be a good sign. I wonder how the rest of the wedding night went?

Did anyone order a really bad Thanksgiving-themed dessert?

Because that's what this bride got. An attempt was definitely made here, it's just that the baker severely overestimated their own talents. And ability to carve birds. Happens to all of us.

This picture speaks a thousand words.

Most of those words are variations of the phrase "Oh my god."

Maybe this is a good argument for not having animals at your wedding, no matter how tamed they may be.

Oh nooo...

This bride also made the mistake of ordering her dress online. Instead of fitted lace, she wound up with what I would describe as my grandma's favorite table cloth over a mini dress.

When Instagram-worthy photos go wrong.

I get wanting to recreate that scene from The Notebook, but is it really worth it? Look at this poor couple. The reception is not going to be fun.

Dogs and weddings do not mix.

I know it's becoming super common for people to bring their furbabies to the wedding, but please don't. It's almost like they can't resist spoiling that pristine, white fabric.
