Chris Martin Shares How He Embarrasses His Daughter Apple At Work

Chris Martin just pulled the most "dad move" of all time.

While on The Ellen Show, he shared how he once embarrassed his daughter at work and it's a doozy.

This is Chris Martin.

He's the lead singer of Coldplay, the British band who dropped their eighth studio album this past November.

He's also the father to his two kids, Apple, 15, and Moses, 13, who he shares with ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.

Although the pair famously "consciously uncoupled" in 2014, they're still committed to being great co-parents together.

“It’s not like there’s a finish line: ‘Oh, we consciously uncoupled; we’re done.’ It’s a lifelong commitment to constantly reinvent your relationship with your ex, which you do presumably because you have children together," Gwyneth recently told Harper's Bazaar.

"I don’t see a reason to do it if you don’t have children together. Some people do."

“But I think we put all the hard work in at the beginning. I would say very rarely is it difficult now. We’ve learned how to communicate with each other."

She continued:

"We love each other. We laugh. We have the best of each other. It’s really nice. It makes you feel like you don’t have to lose.”

The famous exes are even friendly with each other's new partners!

Gwyneth is married to producer Brad Falchuk and Chris is currently dating actress Dakota Johnson of 50 Shades of Grey fame.

This past summer, the gang proved that you *can* be friends with your exes (and their new lovers) when they all hung out together at the Hamptons!

On social media, Gwyneth even posted a sweet birthday tribute for Johnson's 30th birthday.

“I love her,” Paltrow told the magazine.

"I can see how it would seem weird because it’s sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her."

Anyway, the "Coldplay" frontman recently stopped by "The Ellen Show" to promote his band's new critically acclaimed album, "Everyday Life."

While there, he got to talking about his kids and even shared how he "embarrassed" his daughter at work.

“My daughter works in a clothing store, it’s her first job and she’s about to be 16. I’m so proud of her," he began.

“I went to surprise her, I just went to see. I took a T-shirt from the rack and I lined up in the queue. She saw me and she [mouthed] ‘Dad, get out!’

He continued:

“I felt terrible. So I moved to the other line. Just holding my T-shirt, really scared of my daughter.”

“I’d bought her some fudge, so I said to the lady, ‘Can you just give this to my daughter.’

Since fudge solves everything, Apple shouted, "I love you, dad" as he was leaving.

Classic dad move!

During the interview, Ellen turned the tables on Chris by embarrassing *him.*

The video, which was filmed in 1988, two years before Coldplay's debut album "Parachute" came out, featured a very boastful Chris.

While speaking through a mouthful of braces, he said, "Act of the Coldplay, they're going to go on to be such a huge band."

Act of the Coldplay??

"This will be on national television within four years, four years. It's now the 26th of June 1998."

The Ellen Show | Warner Bros.

"By the 26th of June 2002, Coldplay, or the band, whatever they are called then, will be known all over, man. We're going to be so big."

Although young Chris wasn't wrong (Coldplay *is* huge) the clip left older Chris seriously cringing.
