The Alternate Ending For 'Joker' Would Have 'Outraged' Batman Fans

Joker took over the world by storm in both a good and bad way. A lot of people thought it promoted violence, while others simply enjoyed the comic book character's origin story.

But the ending of the movie was once very different to what fans originally got to see.

The original ending to 'Joker' left a lot of people wondering what was imagined by Fleck and what was real.

But there was actually a point where that wasn't even the original ending.

In fact, there was one that, according to Kevin Smith, left him "outraged as a Batman fan!"

Smith told all during his 'Fatman Beyond' show.

"Originally, the ending in the hospital was different. He's in the hospital and he laughs, chuckles, and he says, 'I was just thinkin' of something funny."

He continued by saying:

"What was supposed to happen was you flashed back to the death or Thomas and Martha Wayne and it was him killing Thomas and Martha Wayne and the boy was screaming and crying and he turned to walk away and he turned back, shrugged, and shot the kid. Credits."

So with that ending, the Joker would have completely wiped out the possibility of Batman ever appearing.

Which, as Kevin Smith pointed out, would have definitely outraged a lot of people.
