Netflix’s 'The Witcher' Is Its Highest Rated Original Series

Wow! Who knew that A) video game media could actually be good and B) that video game fans, when given something decent, could elevate a TV show to new heights!

Maybe people will start taking video games and their adjacent media a little more seriously!

(Although technically, the book came before the video games and the show).

So 'The Witcher' is out on Netflix.

Netflix

There was a lot of anticipation for this series, both positive and negative. People praised the story writing and Cavill's acting.

As for the negative, some were pissed off that white characters were cast with people of color.

But screw those people.

Netflix

All that mattered was one thing: that The Witcher was good.

And considering how video game movies/TV have been treated in the past, the odds were against the little multi-million series that could.

And so, the day arrived. 'The Witcher' was released, and the consensus was...

Netflix

That it was good!

Yes, video game fans and non-fans alike love this show, as it is fun, it's violent and best of all, it's like the game. Sure, it's a little confusing, but so long as you pay attention, you fall in love with it.

As for ratings...

Netflix

The show has raised to the lofty heights of "highest-rated show on Netflix".

That's right, with an average of 8.9, it's even managed to beat out Stranger Things (which has an 8.8).

Wow-ee! What an accomplishment!
