I don't know what it is about mixing the sweet and semi-spicy carbonated drink with a scoop or a few of creamy vanilla ice cream, but it became iconic and is even sold at A&W.
Living right across the river from Detroit meant that we consumed quite a bit of the bright gingery drink.
This is such a nostalgic treat for me!
It's called a purple cow in many parts of the U.S.
But you know what that means...
It is made out of grapes, after all!
Maybe that's how this idea was dreamed up.
Pouring some red wine over vanilla ice cream will give it some major cherries jubilee vibes.
But a sweet white wine would be delicious with a creamy plain vanilla ice cream!
And the perfect summer beverage to boot!
Why did I never think of this before? It's sort of like a Bellini!
Having a make-your-own wine float night would be so fun.
