The Irwins are probably my favorite famous family of all time. Not only are they dedicated to animal preservation and activism, which is amazing on its own, but they're all so kind, loving, and supportive of one another.
Steve Irwin would definitely be proud.
Bindi Irwin announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Chandler Powell in July after six years together. Terri said, "This was one of the happiest days of my entire life."
"Except Steve would be crying, because he would cry about anything special," Terri added. Honestly? Same.
Bindi has echoed her mother's statement, saying, " We all think dad would have loved Chandler."
She said, "I think that for me, it’ll be really important that Robert walks me down the aisle. I think that's what Dad would have wanted as well."
Bindi added that she wanted to make sure the wedding will include "just little bits of Dad that will make it feel like he’s there with us" and that they will have "a candle lighting ceremony" in his honor.
I'm sure Steve would be so happy to hear that!
