Man Feasts On KFC Chicken While Watching Vegan Protest

One man has made his feelings towards vegans very apparent after he was recently caught on video watching an animal cruelty protest in Australia, all the while devouring a box of the Colonel's finest chicken.

Footage of the the unnamed troll was uploaded to the video-sharing app TikTok.

It quickly went viral, garnering both praise and criticism for the KFC-loving prankster, according to the New York Post

This past weekend, the vegan activist group Cube of Truth was holding a protest outside of Sydney's Town Hall.

As per the event, two group members sat blindfolded in front of a television screen, which showed graphic footage of animals being slaughtered in a continuous, horrifying loop.

Although it was intended to bring the public's attention to animal cruelty, all eyes were on one man standing off to the side of the demonstration.

The unidentified onlooker was filmed watching the blindfolded protesters, all the while nonchalantly digging into a box of KFC fried chicken.

While it's unclear whether the man was intending to troll the event or not, he's certainly sparked plenty of reactions online.

Without word from the man himself, it's hard to say if he happened to have the chicken and decided to watch the protest or if he bought the chicken specifically to troll it.

The clip was uploaded to TikTok on Monday and has since been viewed over 2 million times.

In the comments, some people have applauded the apparent counter-protest, while others have expressed anger at the man's actions.

"That'll show 'em," one user sarcastically remarked. "Bet they've never seen someone eat chicken before."

Another added, "Why do people think it's cool to lack empathy for other lives and then make fun of people that actually care? I'm genuinely curious."

Whether the man was using the chicken to troll the protesters or not, it may soon be possible to *support* the animal-free movement using KFC.

The company recently announced plans to test a plant-based meat option known as Beyond Fried Chicken in Atlanta, Georgia, available to customers as either nuggets or wings.

KFC tested the same plant-based chicken products at one location in Canada where it quickly sold out.
