Wonder Woman Dropped The Sword In New Film Because It's Too 'Aggressive'

Wonder Woman was one of DC's best films ever. It featured a woman in the lead role who fought for love, peace, and justice.

The movie is getting a sequel film, set in 1984, and it is full of amazing music, cool twists, and Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman looking flawless and badass as hell.

'Wonder Woman 1984' is bringing a whole new feel to the movie.

She will be facing off against both Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) and Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).

To make everything better, Wonder Woman is literally riding the lightning with her lasso in the new trailer.

In an interview with CinePop, Gadot explained why they thought it was time for Diana to let go of the items.

"Wonder Woman does not carry a weapon. We had an intention to let go of the sword, because there’s something very aggressive with a sword." she said.

"If you have a sword, it means you need to use it. So we wanted to give that up. And we didn’t feel that the shield was necessary either."

"She’s a goddess, she can fight, she’s super strong, and she has the skills. So no, she has the gauntlets. She has the lasso. She has her tiara and that’s about it."

'Wonder Woman 1984' drops on June 5, 2020.

Which is definitely not soon enough but we will have to make do.

The movie promises fun, action, adventure, and an old romance story.
