Trump Supporters Get Emotional Talking Impeachment Vote: ‘It’s Very Upsetting’

Hours after House Democrats charged President Trump with two articles of impeachment, thousands of his supporters showed up to his "Keep America Great" Rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday night where many of them became emotional while talking about their fearless leader.

An NBC News segment saw reporter Monica Alba provide those supporters with a microphone prior to the rally, giving them a chance to publicly voice their opinions on Democrats, Trump, and the latest development in the impeachment inquiry.

On Tuesday, House Democrats formally introduced two articles of impeachment against President Trump.

He was charged with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The House is expected to vote to pass the articles before breaking for holiday recess.

With the Hershey rally taking place the same day as the impeachment articles, supporters were unsurprisingly passionate when given a platform to express their opinions.

At one point in the NBC segment, a man donning a "Make America Great Again" hat and pin with the same slogan slammed Democrats.

"Every time the Democrats do something outrageous to push for this nonsensical impeachment, it motivates me to make another $25 donation to the campaign," he revealed in his heated interview.

The man continued, "I swear as long as I live I will never vote for a Democrat again. I don't care if it's my best friend or a relative of mine. I will never vote for a Democrat as long as I live."

Another supporter said the impeachment inquiry is entirely baseless.

"There are no facts, there's no firsthand knowledge of nothing," he insisted. "They're going by what the so-called 'experts' say happened. Experts got us into trouble that the United States has been in for awhile so, I don't buy that."

A third supporter fought back tears while discussing the impeachment vote on camera.

"I'm breaking up," the visibly emotional woman began. "And I'm very upset today. I'm glad to be here. But I think it's so hard because he's done such a great job and this is the way that he's being treated."

"It's very upsetting to me," she added.

Supporters flocked to the Giant Center arena in Hershey on Tuesday night where President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence took to the stage to address the crowd.

Thousands began lining up before dawn on Tuesday, coming from all over the country to hear their president speak at the "Keep America Great " rally, his first in the swing state in months.

"A lot of people can see the impeachment is a joke, a sham, a disgrace to our nation and founding fathers," rally attendee and Trump supporter Derrick Gibson told USA Today. "In 2020, Trump is going to win by a landslide."

During the rally, Trump blasted the impeachment efforts, calling it "the lightest, weakest impeachment."

"They're impeaching me," he said. "You know why? Because they want to win an election."

"They are now admitting that there was no collusion, no obstruction of justice, there are no crimes," he continued. "They are impeaching me and there are no crimes. This has to be a first."
