Ashley Graham Shares How Amy Schumer Helped With Her Pregnancy

There's nothing better than honest moms, and that's the tea.

Ashley Graham sat down with Vogue to talk about her pregnancy. She revealed how many famous names she's gotten advice from — and some of them are cool af.

Ashley Graham is crazy close to giving birth.

As she told Jimmy Fallon and Vogue itself, she's due in January.

She pointed out that her due date means her son is going to be a Capricorn, just like her husband, Justin Ervin.

Ashley is on the cover of Vogue, and it's a big deal.

Vogue calls it "Vogue Values 2020," and it's all about inclusivity. (Well, inclusivity for them, anyway.)

This is Ashley's first solo Vogue cover. Or, as she put it, solo-ish — she has a tiny passenger, after all!

Oh, and by the way.

She's having a boy! She revealed on Ellen (and to Vogue) that she and Justin are expecting a baby boy, which has Justin over the moon. He wants a little buddy!

She sat down with Vogue to talk about her pregnancy.

Ashley is a very up-front and honest person, so no topic was left uncovered. They went over everything from due dates, to intimacy, to the advice she got from other famous moms.

Speaking of those moms...

She met a few at a fashion show, and they all had something to share with her.

Ashley was super open to advice, so she sat with Kim Kardashian West, Serena Williams and La La Anthony and just listened.

She got advice from Kim Kardashian.

"Kim immediately started telling me, 'Ashley, the pregnancy may be the hardest part, but the birth is the easiest.'"

Wait...birth is the easiest? Is it because you get to cuddle a tiny new human at the end?

She's absorbing as much as she can.

"I’m just taking in advice from everyone and not putting too much pressure on myself," Ashley told them. And that includes:

"Serena was like, 'Call me; we should talk.'"

I mean, you can't say no to that offer.

They contacted Serena to ask what they would chat about.

She shares a lot, including questions she herself wanted to ask.

"I was one of those people who wanted to know every ugly detail of what happens . . . down there . . . what happens everywhere."

Pregnancy changes your body pretty quickly.

"Like, why are my nipples so big a week into being pregnant? This makes no sense; the baby doesn’t need to eat yet. I wanted to know every single thing, and I still love talking about it."

Being open helps so many people.

"Because I feel like it’s important to kind of change the narrative and be like, it’s normal to feel scared, and not be one of those women who are like, ‘Oh, it’s so great!’

"Just be scared out of your mind. That’s normal."

Amy Schumer also stepped in.

"I was like, 'Come over and I’ll just tell you what I have learned and what I wish I knew,'" Schumer said.

It highkey sounds like Ashley has an amazing army behind her.

She made herself available, just like Serena.

"And then I was like, 'And the nicest thing I can do for you is tell you that you won’t hear from me again, but you can call me anytime.'"

Wait, what?

It was about giving her space.

"'Cause it’s a lot. People are so in your face when you’re pregnant because they’re so [expletive] excited for you."

Ashley said later in the interview that people switched to exclusively talking to her about her pregnancy, so this is especially thoughtful.

There's a lot of confusion in pregnancy.

"And you don’t get it. You can’t possibly get it. And then after you’ve had a baby you’re like, 'Oh, I get it!'"

Baby hindsight has to be 20/20. Or 9/9. Sure.

Amy was bowled over by how much she liked Ashley.

"She’s a goddamn fire starter," she said. "Ashley just knocks the wind out of you. She’s one of those rare, really authentic people. There’s just no horse[expletive], you know? That’s a compliment, right?"

Indeed it is.
