Fans Are Calling Out Kesha's New Makeup Line For Looking 'Very Violent'

PSA: Kesha has her very own makeup line coming out called, Kesha Rose Beauty.

There is a small catch, however. Fans are calling the brand imagery "very violent" looking...

If you're a Kesha fan, you've probably been looking forward to the Kesha Rose Beauty launch for quite some time.

And since she just pushed back the release, you're gonna be waiting a bit longer.

After seeing the marketing imagery that was recently released, many fans of expressed their disappointment for a surprising reason.

When you think about makeup, the word "violent" is probably not what springs to mind.

But after seeing Kesha Rose Beauty's advertisement, that could change.

The photos released on Kesha Rose Beauty's Instagram account has left potential consumers feeling "unsettled".

Celebrity-founded beauty brands are no stranger to controversy.

Take Rihanna, for example.

Fenty Beauty has faced backlash from fans numerous times — for things like cultural appropriation and even scamming their customers.

Fenty Beauty's claim to fame (besides Rihanna) were their highlighters.

The other products are great as well, but the highlighters have been the highlight (pun intended) of Riri's makeup business endeavors.

But back in April, the name of a newly launched highlighter raised a few eyebrows.

It was called "Geisha Chic".

I'm sure you see where this is going...

"I'm really excited for this launch, however this shade name 'Geisha Chic' is not great because it ignores the history, full weight, and overall experience of being a geisha," someone commented.

"Yeah speaking on behalf of East Asians: nice color, but the name? Really?," another fan commented.

This person accused Rihanna of overlooking racism aimed at Asian ethnicities.

Thankfully, Fenty DM'd one of the commenters, apologizing for their mistake and revealing that they've pulled the product until it can be re-named.

Fenty Beauty took full responsibility for their lapse in judgment, and made things right by pulling "Geisha Chic" from the shelves until it had a more appropriate name.

Anyway, I digress. Kesha's beauty line hasn't even been released yet and it's already facing controversy.

Over the last month, Kesha has been releasing photos in anticipation for the release of her makeup brand.

The theme is... Hard to explain.

People have been very vocal on Reddit about how uncomfortable the Kesha Rose Beauty camapaign has made them feel.

While Kesha was probably trying to go for an artistic theme, this photo definitely gives off disagreeable vibes.

Fans are finding the campaign to be reminiscent of domestic abuse, which is especially off-putting on account of Kesha's history...

That particular detail is chiefly eerie all things considered.

Fans don't think the brand's imagery is artistic or interesting at all — just unsettling.

This person explained just how the photos are being received as violent and disturbing.

Kesha's style has always been zany. But her fans seem to think she went too far this time.

"Violent" images aren't exactly putting fans in the mood to shop for makeup.

What do you think of Kesha Rose Beauty's makeup line campaign so far?

Do the male hands grabbing Kesha's face and smeared red lipstick make you want to shop?
