Kit Harington Saves Stranger's Bike From Thieves

You know what Jon Snow does know? How to rescue bikes from thieves.

Twitter user @MichMeagher took to her Twitter to tell a story about Kit saving a bike, and people loved it.

In case you don't know...

Or have been living under a rock, Kit Harington is a little bit famous thanks to a small show called Game of Thrones.

I don't know if you've heard about that show, but idk...I'm pretty sure a lot of people watched it.

"You know nothing, Jon Snow."

He low-key became a meme, and a comment about him (aka, the quote right up there) made its way into the cultural zeitgeist.

Also, he wound up marrying Rose Leslie, the actress who delivered the line. #Goals

ANYWAY.

His career has gone nowhere but up since he landed that role on Game of Thrones. He's hosted Saturday Night Live, done voice work in How to Train Your Dragon II and III, and just landed his biggest role yet.

See, he's about to get Marvel-level famous.

He was announced to be part of the cast of The Eternals, which includes big names like Angelina Jolie, his Game of Thrones co-star Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, and Gemma Chan.

So, it's kinda stacked.

Unfortunately for all of us, he doesn't have social media.

"It makes me snappy and it makes me uncomfortable, and I turn into a grumpy person," he once said of taking pictures with fans.

He doesn't like being famous, and social media would only make that worse.

It's a wonder he goes out in public at all.

Game of Thrones Wikia

Before he rescued bikes, he talked about how stressful it was to be out in public while his character's "alive or dead" status was a big question mark on Game of Thrones.

I legit could never be a celebrity.

"When you become the cliffhanger of a TV show, and a TV show probably at the height of its power, the focus on you is [expletive] terrifying," he said. "You get people shouting at you on the street, 'Are you dead?'"

So, yeah. It's a miracle he goes outside.

That stress led to a much-needed break.

After Game of Thrones wrapped, he checked into a wellness facility.

"Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues," his rep said in June.

He's clearly much better now.

With Eternals on the horizon, he's back at work and clearly thriving.

Speaking of thriving, let's get to him being an irl hero and being the person we all thought he was, huh?

It was a little unfortunate that he's not on social media.

Because Michelle couldn't tweet him to tell him how thoughtful it was for him to rescue her sister's bike!

While out, he spotted it in danger and chose to move it inside where it could be safe.

This was the most popular reply.

And one of the best ones, obviously.

We stan a king who thinks about other people and helps out those who are about to be straight-up robbed. That's some royal behavior.

People love him.

Every other reply talked about how kind, sweet, or thoughtful he is. I'm starting to think Kit might have some of the nicest fans in the world. They're all so polite!

Michelle had no idea what to do with all the social media attention.

She inadvertently touched on Kit's exact fear: being swarmed in public.

No, really. He said that one of his biggest phobias is being "crushed by humans" in a big crowd.

So, maybe he should never go to Comic-Con.

Anyway, if you're in the mood for more entertaining Kit content:

HBO

Why not read about the story of the time he legit almost lost one of his testicles while on the set of Game of Thrones.

It happened while he was riding the mechanism they use for Dany's dragons.

He was so honest about it.

HBO

"In my head, I thought, 'This is how it ends. On this buck. Swinging around by my testicles. Literally.'"

I don't wanna live in a universe where he died on set via a testicle incident and didn't live to rescue bikes.
