Kristen Bell Says 'There Were No Sparks Whatsoever' The First Time She Met Dax Shepard

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard may be the epitome of couple goals today, but it wasn't "love at first sight" when they first met.

The exact opposite, in fact!

No one can deny that Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are the epitome of couple goals.

The Hollywood pair, who have been married since 2013 and share two kids together, simply embody true love in everything that they do.

Like the time they created this historic moment on "The Ellen Show"!

Where do we even start?!

There's just so much to love about this clip!

The fact that Kristen messes up on the first round, Dax trying to stay calm but failing hilariously, and Kristen yelling "IT LOOKS LIKE FINGERS."

Parents may relate to the time Kristen hilariously recalled their kids walking in on them while they were having sex.

"We didn't, like, continue," Kristen said while recounting the story on The Talk.

"We sort of just went like, 'Hey, what's up? What do you need? What do you need?' ... And then we just said, 'Mommy and Daddy are just going to take a nap for a couple more minutes.'"

Dax later cleared up the story on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"OK, they didn’t walk in while I was, like, pounding Mom," Shepard explained.

He continued: “We put on the TV in the living room — we’re bad parents — and then we stole away for a minute, afternoon delight, but we were just under the sheets and they walked in."

"It was more just explaining why we’re taking, like, a nap in the afternoon while they were loose.”

They were even couple goals when they forgot their anniversary!

"In truth, neither of us remember which day," Bell wrote on Instagram.

"Thats because we have been living the celebration of our commitment every moment since. I find when you are living with gratitude each moment, the dates become irrelevant."

As happy as they are, they're not afraid to admit that they rely on couple's therapy from time to time.

“We have a very healthy marriage and we got there by doing therapy when we needed it, and constantly doing fierce moral inventories,” she told People.

“We both take responsibility when we are wrong, and I think it is easy to work with him because I married him, because I enjoy spending time with him and I trust him.

"That is exactly what I want in someone that I work with.”

Given how meant-to-be they are, get ready for a huge shocker: things didn't start out well for them.

Recently, the Frozen 2 star opened up to Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist, about feeling quite the "chilly" reception when first meeting her husband.

“The producer of 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall', Shauna Robertson, who’s Judd Apatow‘s previous producing partner, had a birthday dinner — like, 10 people, maybe less, at a sushi restaurant,” she began.

“And I had just gotten out of a long-term relationship, like, two months prior. And in retrospect, I realize he had just gotten out of a long relationship.”

“We were sitting at a table,” she said, then added: “the only thing I remember is that he talked so much.”

She also recalled not recognizing him, even though Dax had been working on MTV Punk'D at the time.

“This guy can ta-alk,” she recalled. “And then I didn’t know who he was. I’m like, ‘Is that one of the guys from Jackass or something?’ … And then we left. There were no sparks whatsoever.”

The sparks wouldn't fly until the second time that they met.

“Two weeks later we both met at a hockey game … we saw each other … started to flirt,” she said.

“Then a day after that I get a text that says, ‘Hi, my name is Dax. I violated your privacy and got your number from Shauna. How do you feel about that?’ And I was like, ‘Excuse me? You sound stimulating.'”

“He’s so bold and that was my kind of person,” she added.

“I was like, okay, starting it off with a really good joke that makes me feel, like, butterflies. I fell in love with him way before he fell in love with me.”

Aww, this story just makes them even cuter!

We're so happy that they had a second chance at love because they're obviously so meant to be!
