Billie Eilish took to her Instagram story after being booed by a group of fans for refusing to sign autographs after appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week.

Billie's been having a big year.

With a number one single, six Grammy nominations, and a best-selling album, Billie is in high demand lately from her fans and from paparazzi.

Last week, our favorite Gen Z gal, Billie Eilish, made an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

As always, she was an absolute joy to watch. No complaints here.

Unfortunately, as Billie made her exit from the studio, things went awry...

She was accosted by a swarm of paparazzi that booed her for not stopping to sign any autographs.

While the rest of her fans would probably agree that a group of grown adult men bombarding a 17-year-old girl and booing her is weird and definitely not her fault, she kindly took to her Instagram story to explain her side of the story.

She set the record straight!

She explained that when she exited the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" studio, there were two large groups of people outside waiting for her.

One group was fans and the other was paparazzi and people looking for autographs to sell on Ebay.

Naturally, she prioritized the fans. She went up to them, gave hugs, took photos with them, but didn't sign anything.

She explained that she's recently taken a stand against signing autographs.

"I used to, but I realized all anyone did was sell everything that I signed," she said.

"So I stopped [signing autographs]. It was kind of like a policy of mine that I don't."

She said that she'd "way rather get a hug and talk" to her fans than sign something for them that they'll sell later.

Anyway, she explained that after mingling with her fans, she went up to the group of paparazzi.

She offered a standard meet and greet but they didn't seem interested in that.

"I was like, nobody here really wants anything from me, besides a [expletive] autograph — which I don't do because they'll sell that [expletive]."

"I started to walk away because I realized none of these people actually cared about anything that had to do with me, as a person," she continued.

At which point, the booing commenced.

"As I started to walk away — back to the car — they all started to boo me," she explained.

"Then, they all started calling me a 'little [expletive],' and [said] that I'll lose my Grammy nominations."

She said the paparazzi also compared her to other artists, yelling: "Lorde would have stopped."

"The fact that people can switch up like that...damn," she said.

"They wait outside for you and then immediately they don't get what they want and they boo you, and [expletive] curse at you."

"I'm like 'Bro, I'm 17,'" she said.

"Anyway, the only reason I'm making this video is that I saw a video of this all happening and I just wanted to clarify what actually happened."

"I walked over there only to say hi, only to hug people, and I got pictures of me shoved into my [expletive] face."

"I got no love whatsoever, so I left," she said.

She wrapped up her story with one blanket statement for the paparazzi that heckled her.

"To the grown men that booed me and called me a 'little [expletive],' I hope the best for you," she said.

"I hope you can find someone else that you use to make money off of and belittle. All the best. Love you paparazzi," she concluded.

Billie's fans have been known to get mad at her in the past when they think she might not be appreciating them enough.

Earlier this year Billie found herself in a bit of hot water after she was gifted this bright and colorful windbreaker from a fan.

The trouble came when another fan found the very same windbreaker in a thrift store.

The original jacket-giver saw the tweet above and replied, "That’s me!!! @billieeilish I’m sad to see the jacket never kept you warm," although he's otherwise kept up good spirits about the incident.

He wrote on Instagram that, "I need you all to know that I’m not pressed and I love you @billieeilish. Imagine how massive her closets would have to be if she kept every single thing every fan gave her!”

Despite the fan who gave the jacket not being upset, other fans were mad that Billie would give away a gift from a fan. ""All she had to do was keep it. She didn’t have to wear it was that so hard lol. She went through the extra effort of giving it away," said one fan.

Fans said it was "rude" for Billie to get rid of the present.

Of course, some people were defending her. "How tf are people demonizing Billie Eilish for donating a jacket a fan gave her? Like she DONATED it. Also she's famous so clearly she gets tons of gitfs... Even I sell/donate gifts I don't use," tweeted a fan.

We should all remember that celebrities are people.

Billie Eilish is human, and can't make everybody happy all the time! It's awesome to see her fans stand up for her when it comes to smaller stuff, and it's even better to see her standing up for herself against the paparazzi who booed her.
