Chrissy Teigen And Sharon Osbourne Feud Over John Legend's 'Baby It's Cold Outside' Cover

The plot thickens.

After Chrissy Teigen savagely responded to the criticism Sharon Osbourne made about John Legend changing the lyrics to "Baby, It's Cold Outside," Osbourne just took their feud to new heights.

Earlier this month, John Legend came under fire by Sharon Osbourne for changing the lyrics to the classic Christmas hit, "Baby, It's Cold Outside."

Now, Chrissy Teigen has stepped in to defend her man, leading to a feud between her and Osbourne.

While most of us know the song well, its original lyrics, written in 1944 by Frank Loesser, have been criticized for not aging well.

The song tells the story of a man desperately trying to get a woman to stay the night at his house — a major no-no in light of the #MeToo movement and the importance of proper consent.

With this in mind, the new lyrics, sang by Legend and his fellow "The Voice" judge, Kelly Clarkson, stress the importance of consent.

For example, one of the lyrics has been changed to: "It's your body and your choice."

While Legend may have thought that he was doing the right thing, the song got quite the chilly reception from those in the camp of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

"Please don't. I know you two will be great together, the song is fine as is," another wrote.

When Sharon got wind of the changes, she slammed the song's co-writer, John Legend on her show, "The Talk."

"What would John Legend do, if in 40 years, if somebody wanted to… re-record one of his songs, and there was some group that found it offensive, and somebody just went, ‘Oh, I can change the lyrics on that,'" she began.

She called the original song a "piece of art."

One of the biggest issues she had with the song was the inclusion of this lyric:

"What will my friends think? If I have one more drink?" Kelly sings, to which Legend replies, "It’s your body, and your choice."

"To change an innocent lyric, to what is it, 'Your mind and your body?' What the hell are you on? That's ridiculous," she said.

She finished her argument with this:

"I have to tell you, I love John Legend. I love John Legend’s wife, his family. He’s an amazing artist that I really respect. Why do you do this? That's not right."

"The thing is, if you don’t like the song, don’t record it."

While some people have agreed with Osbourne's stance, Chrissy Teigen did not.

When a reporter asked Teigen how she felt about Sharon's criticism to John, she didn't hold back.

"Sharon’s always going to have something to say, it’s her job,” she said.

“I remember those days of getting to talk [expletive] for money. It’s very fun.” she said.

On a recent episode of "The Talk," Sharon dished out an equally — if not *more* savage — response.

“It’s amazing that you [Chrissy] remember those days, cause the show you were on didn’t even last a season,” Sharon fired back.

“Let me clarify, we don’t get paid to talk what she said, about anyone. We are self-made women at this table, who have lived very interesting lives, everyone one of you.”

She went on to defend her right to share her opinion since she comes from a family with rich history in the music industry.

“The thing is, we get paid to give our opinion because we live such full, interesting lives. And also it’s amazing when we’re all on TV we get paid…like you do on all the shows you do."

Sharon finished by making it clear that she's not looking for a feud.

"I don’t want to start anything, I think that John Legend is an amazingly, multi-talented person," she said, echoing the comments she had made on an earlier episode.

"He is incredible, and I think she’s lovely, they have a beautiful little family, they do. They are just the perfect couple. I don’t have a bone to pick, but I’m also entitled, Chrissy, to my opinion.”

We'll have to wait and see what Chrissy fires back with next.

At the end of the day, though, it's clear that Teigen is going to stand by her man, no matter what.

After all, he recently traveled by plane just to watch TV with her since she was having a crappy day.

But if the fam decides not to respond, it's probably because they're too busy celebrating the fact that John was just named People's "Sexiest Man Alive"!
