Kevin showed his intense recovery process for a severe back injury sustained during the crash, and said, “I’m thankful for life. I’m thankful for simply still being here.”

This sentiment was echoed at the People's Choice Awards this weekend, where Kevin was given the Comedy Act of 2019 award.

Kevin approached the microphone to a standing ovation from the crowd, which was well-earned after the intense journey he has been through. "First and foremost, thank God because I definitely don't have to be here," he began by saying.

"Being that I am, it makes me appreciate life even more."
