Brad Pitt's Generosity: Star Gives 105-Year-Old Neighbor a Home

Elvira actress Cassandra Peterson claimed in a new interview with People that Brad Pitt let his 105-year-old neighbor live rent-free in his previous $39 million LA house for years.

After his wife died away, the 59-year-old Oscar-winning actor was the ideal neighbor to his elderly buddy.

The Oscar winner, 59, who sold his Los Feliz, California estate after nearly three decades in March, allowed him to become a renter on the estate.

The 71-year-old Peterson, who moved in next door to Pitt after she sold him her house in 1994, said that Pitt had expanded his estate by acquiring other homes.

One of those homes bought by Pitt belonged to a man in his early 90s, so Pitt worked out an arrangement that permitted him to stay.

She said, "He was very, very kind to the husband. His wife passed away and the husband John lived there. I know Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died."

Peterson continued, "It was funny because John lived to be 105. I imagine Brad was thinking well he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now."

Throughout their years as neighbors, Peterson said that the actor was always "kind and sweet" to her.

She revealed that she "almost fainted" when she saw Pitt practicing his punches on a punching bag while shirtless for the 1999 movie Fight Club.

"I remember he goes, 'Hey, how are you?' and I'm like, 'Huh?' I couldn't talk. I was turning red. I felt like I was fainting," she said.

She continues. "He's just so stunningly, stunningly handsome — and nice, to top it off."

Pitt sold his estate this month after nearly three decades of owning and upgrading it.

According to TMZ, the actor sold it for $39 million, a far cry from the $1.7 million he paid when he got it from horror legend Elvira in 1994.

The home was first advertised for $45 million in January, but it's unknown what caused the price decrease.

Pitt famously shared the house with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their six children before their 2016 divorce, but he also lived there alone for a long time.

The Fight Club star is rumored to be relocating from Los Angeles to a $40 million mansion in the Northern California coastal town of Carmel.

That arrived shortly before the start date of Los Angeles' new mansion tax, rumored to be the reason for the current spike of A-listers abandoning the affluent neighborhood.

Brad's opulent Hollywood Hills mansion is set within a gated neighborhood steeped in a 110-year history. It was built in 1910 by an oil mogul and is where rock artist Jimmy Hendrix wrote his 1967 song May This Be Love.

Brad has spent years working with a team of world-class architects and designers to renovate and develop additional extensions to the property. The Interview With A Vampire actor claimed to have been involved in the design process to construct his ideal home.
