A Last Look at Paul O'Grady: Photo Taken 3 Days Before His Death

The final photo taken by TV star and drag act Paul O'Grady revealed as he posed with a fan outside a theater in Edinburgh, where he played Miss Hannigan in the musical Annie.

The fan is a dog whom Paul O’Grady posed with when he performed in a stage production before his demise at 67.

The comedian's picture went viral on Instagram as he was spotted smiling heartily as he hugged the dog. 

Another photo is making rounds on social media as Paul was spotted posing with a fan outside of the amphitheater while carrying another dog.

Paul’s partner, Andre Portasio, has disclosed via a statement that Paul passed away untimely but peacefully.

The cause of death has not been announced. 

Paul was an ambassador for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. 

Paul provided home and shelter to several pets while rescuing some himself. 

Mr. Andre wrote, “It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening. 

Mr. Andre stressed that it’s a hard time for them and would like the masses to respect their privacy as they mourn their loss. 

“Everyone will miss him—humor, wit, and kindness.” Mr. Andre stressed.

“I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years,” Mr. Andre concluded.

Yes, Paul is survived by a daughter named Sharon and two grandchildren—Abel and Halo.

Paul was supposed to proceed with his tour of the UK as Miss Hannigan was going to Southampton at the end of April. 

He also planned to perform in Liverpool and other places in November.

While the cause of death is unknown, Paul had his fair share of kidney failure and heart attacks in 2002, 2006, and 2014 respectively.

Paul hosted The Paul O’Grady Show, Blind Date, Blankety Blank, and For The Love Of Dogs during his career.
