Eva Longoria Receives Backlash From 'Young & The Restless' Star

The 48-year-old actress is getting slammed by The Young and the Restless former costar, Eric Braeden, who listened to what Eva had to say about soap operas and thinks her words are "derogatory."

Eva spoke on Who's Talking to Chris Wallace? where she aired her thoughts on days gone by. She was known for starring in TY&TR from 2001 to 2003.

Recalling past years, Eva revealed that she worked a day job as a headhunter while also moonlighting as a TV actress.

“I was so good at it that when I got Young & The Restless, it didn’t pay enough for me to live off being an actor,” Eva said.

Seemingly suggesting she was ashamed of having a role on TV, Eva continued:

"I would hide the fact that I was on Young and the Restless to my clients because they didn’t want a dumb actress handling their accounts.”

Eric furiously took to Twitter, and the vibe was irate!

“EVA LONGORIA: you just made derogatory remarks about daytime actors! You simply weren’t good enough to survive the pressures of this medium! You were very lucky to get on that ‘housewife’ show! You did one show in 8-12 days, with mediocre but salacious dialogue!” he tweeted.

Eva played Isabella Braña on The Young and the Restless. She went on to achieve international superstardom playing Gabrielle Solis on Desperate Housewives from 2004 to 2012.

Eva had also stated that she was all "don't tell anybody I'm on that show," revealing that she was "still" earning more cash at her day job.

Eric did, however, follow up his tweet with one toning things down a bit. Here, he confirmed that there was no deep-seated hatred against Longoria.

"I have nothing against Eva, I was just incensed by the same denigrating crap I hear so often by people in our biz about this medium! Either they no nothing about it, or couldn’t …,” he wrote.

Fans loved Eva's Desperate Housewives role, one bringing glitz, glam, plenty of high heels, and a husband who did everything for her!

Eva also proved to be one of the most popular of the starring ladies on the hit series, which also starred Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, and Felicity Huffman.

Eva is keeping busy on social media, where she promotes her business ventures and flaunts her love of travel, as well as plenty of family time.

Despite approaching 50, Eva more than turned heads at this year's Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party, where she rocked up in a strapless and billowing black sheer dress.

Taking to her caption, the Hollywood star wrote: "We love a little sheer." Fans have left over 300,000 likes, with MCU star Gemma Chan also dropping one.

Eva's IG has its celeb fanbase. The feed is followed by stars including model Ashley Graham, actress Kate Beckinsale, as well as socialite Paris Hilton.

Eva, meanwhile, follows celebrities including The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco, Mexican-born actress Salma Hayek, plus Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon.
