Tyra Banks’ ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Host Replacement Revealed

Julianne Hough is making an unusual return to the Ballroom this time as a host replacing the show's co-host of about 3 years, Tyra Banks.

The reality competition series' judges will once again be Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Julianne's brother, Derek Hough, along with returning co-host, Alfonso Ribeiro.

Banks told TMZ on Thursday that she will be concentrating on other businesses and producing tv. It was reported that she believed it was time to move from the dance floor to the stock market floor, or from the ballroom to the boardroom.

She added ;

“I’m an entrepreneur at heart… I think my heart, my soul, is into my business, it’s also into producing new TV.”

She shared that she can’t fully focus on her business while hosting.

The native of Utah made her debut on "DWTS" in 2007, however, she wasn't cast as one of the professional dancers paired with celebrity contestants.

With legends like Apolo Anton Ohno and Helio Castroneves, she later triumphed in seasons four and five. Hough also served as a special judge in 2014 and 2021.

She also expressed her excitement to reunite with Alfonso, Carrie Ann, Bruno, Derek, the incredibly talented professionals, and the great cast once more on the dance floor.

She went on to describe the vibe of the ballroom as magnetic every time you step foot into the ballroom and she can't wait to feel it again — and of course, to share it all with the very greatest and most dedicated fans — for another exciting season, she gushed.

Tyra's Main Reason For Quitting The Show

Meanwhile, Tyra is quitting the show to devote more time to her successful ice cream venture. In 2021, the icy-sweet SMiZE & DREAM brand was introduced, and it now has stores all around the United Arab Emirates.

Business Is Her New Path

She remarked about his business;

“I’m really focused on business, like crazy focused,” she told the outlet. “SMiZE & DREAM is global, so I feel it’s time for me to really focus on my business and my entrepreneurship.”

She Can't Focus While Hosting Show

Banks continued by declaring that "it's time" she left "DWTS," adding,

“I think my heart and soul are in my business and in producing TV, and you can’t do that while hosting a show.” “So you’ll see me creating things, not just hosting,” she added.

Tyra Made History In DWTS

As the first Black female host of "DWTS" and the first solo host of the show, Banks joined the cast in 2020.

She Faced Challenges On The Show

Her three-year reign wasn't all that easy. Before Banks was appointed host, Twitter users criticized Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron, who had hosted the show from its 2005 premiere and Season 18's Erin Andrews, respectively, for their performances.

The DWTS world has recently undergone several changes in addition to Banks' departure. After winning season 31, Mark Ballas announced his departure from the program, longstanding head judge Len Goodman left to spend more time with his family in the United Kingdom, and Cheryl Burke left the business after 26 seasons.

Hough's updated CV follows alterations to previous shows. After years of live airing on ABC, the ballroom dancing competition show moved last year to its present home to stream on Disney+.
