How Sharon Stone Lost Half of Her Money

The Basic Instinct actress spoke at a Hollywood gala recently, where she broke down as she gave a speech. The $50 million she is said to be worth might be half of that if her words are true.

Addressing the crowd, Sharon shared: "I just lost half my money to this banking thing and that doesn't mean that I'm not here."

It's not known if Sharon had an account with SVB. The 65-year-old was attending the Women's Cancer Fund.

Last week, SVB collapsed, making it one of the largest banking failures in financial history. Also going under has been Signature Bank. Combined, the two are being slated as being on a par with the collapse of Washington Mutual Bank during the 2008 financial crisis.

Continuing, Stone said: "I know that thing that you have to get on and figure out how to text the money is difficult. I'm a technical idiot, but I can write a f***ing cheque."

For her glitzy night, Sharon slipped her curves into a dark green and ruched dress with long sleeves and a conservative neckline.

Defying her age, the Hollywood star added in the gloved finish adored by the likes of SKIMS mogul Kim Kardashian. She wore her blonde locks swept back and in a short haircut, also rocking plenty of blush as she sported a dewy look complete with red lipstick.

Sharon may not be in the "it" girl crowd dominated by 20-somethings, but she's getting plenty of invites to high-profile events!

Allouche Gallery invited the former costar to Michael Douglas to its event this year.

"Last night we celebrated the colorful expressions of Sharon Stone with the opening reception of SHEDDING at Allouche Gallery, LA. We are honored to be a part of Sharon Stone’s debut show, featuring vibrant landscapes and vulnerable abstractions," Sharon wrote on Instagram.

The A-Lister has also been busy promoting eyewear on her social media. Sharon is followed by 3.6 million on Instagram.

Sharon may have shot to fame in the '90s with movie Basic Instinct, but she's got staying power and remains more popular than ever!

Sharon continues to enjoy success via sales of her memoir The Beauty of Living Twice. The work covers her 2001 brain hemorrhage.

In October 2022, Sharon updated her IG to share her Harper's Bazaar cover, and she quoted quite the compliment!

"At 64 years old she's still one of the world's greatest beauties and one of the sharpest minds in the movie business," Stone wrote.
