Chris Rock Places Blame On Will Smith Slap And "Red Table Talk"

After making no comments for an entire year, Rock finally got a mic and a large crowd to talk about the highlight of the Academy Awards 2022 incident.

Rock performed in Boston days later, although he admitted on stage that he was still absorbing what had transpired. He continued by saying that he'll thus talk about that garbage at some time. It will also be both serious and humorous.

On March 4, Chris Rock used his platform live Netflix comedy special, Selective Outrage, in which he discussed Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and the iconic Oscars slap, letting loose his thoughts.

During the hour-long performance at Baltimore's Hippodrome Theater that was caught on tape, Rock took subtle jabs at the actor, but in the last 10 minutes, he crushed the renowned couple with joke after punchline.

"Everybody who knows, I had nothing to do with that s**t. I didn't have any entanglements," said the comedic icon.

It was believed that Will had something else on his mind when he took out his frustration on Rock's face. However, Chris claims the slap had everything to do with Jada Pinkett Smith and nothing to do with him.

"His wife was f**king her son's friend. I usually would not talk about this s**t… I have no idea why two talented people would do something that is f**king lowdown.

Will Smith And Jada Pinkett are blessed with three beautiful children, but both decided to call a time out due to their difficult relationship status. 

R&B artist August Alsina, on June 30, gave the public a hot gossip revealing his romantic 

relationship with Jada Smith. Moreover, Alsina stated that Smith had approved of them.

Jada Pinkett Smith, the host of Red Table Talk, sat down with her husband, Will Smith, and had a secret episode where they discussed recent allegations about their relationship.

Jada Smith said, "As time passed, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August." After Will tricked her into defining "entanglement," she folded and confirmed her relationship with Alsina. 

"Everybody in here has been cheated on, but NONE OF US have ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us on television. 'Hey, I was suckin' someone else's dick. How'd that make you feel?' 

Rock continued making jokes and referring to the Smiths as he took a stand. He added, "She hurt him way more than he hurt me… Everybody called him a b**ch, and who [does] he hit? Me."

Chris made sure not to leave any page unturned. He dug deeper into the past and revealed his awkward encounter with Jada Smith. Back in 2016, the actress had advised him against hosting the Oscars. Because of the absence of diversity at the awards show, the married pair of more 

then 25 years notably abstained.

Rock explained, "She f**king said [I] should quit because Will didn't get nominated for Concussion. What the f**k? So then I make some jokes about it. Who gives a f**k? That's how it is. She started it. I finished it. Nobody's picking on this b**ch. She started this s**t. Nobody was picking on her."

Chris used the platform to explain how big of a deal Will Smith is briefly. He continued comparing himself, saying, "Will Smith played Muhammad Ali in a movie – do you think I auditioned for the role? […] Even in animated films, the bastard is taller than me. I'm a zebra, and he's a shark."

Chris Rock admitted that he hated watching Will Smith's film Emancipation at his most recent stand-up special. Rock stated, "the other day, I watched Emancipation just so I could watch [Smith] getting whipped."

Smith said he was "fogged out" when he first failed to apologize to Rock in his Oscars victory speech in a roughly six-minute video posted to Instagram and YouTube. But, he said that after reaching out to Chris, he received a response saying that when he was ready to speak, he would do so.

"A lot of people go, 'Chris, how come you didn't do nothing back' How come you didn't go back that night?' Because I got parents. That's why," he declared. "I got parents, and you know what my parents taught me: Don't fight in front of white people," Rock said.
