Sharon Stone is in mourning following the passing of Patrick Stone, her younger brother, who was 57 years old, on Sunday in Pennsylvania. According to a TMZ report published on Monday, the Basic Instinct actor's sibling died of a heart attack brought on by heart disease.

Patrick died of "sudden cardiac death due to heart disease," a coroner's office representative told the media outlet. It is unknown if he was hospitalized when he passed away.
This occurred almost two years after River, Patrick's son, died from organ failure at 11 months. Tasha, Patrick's wife, was the mother. The legendary Hollywood actress was last spotted on Saturday as she exited E Baldi in Beverly Hills with a female friend while smiling.
Following Patrick's passing, his wife took to social media to leave a touching tribute. According to the Daily mail;
"My heart feels like it's been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River around 3:30 this morning," she wrote. "I don't know what else to say, he was my world."
He was the biggest pain in the ass with the biggest heart of anyone I know," she wrote, adding that he was the dad of "beautiful children that he loved and adored."
She continued;
"Until we meet again I will forever hold you and our wonderful (and some not so wonderful but just as important) memories close to my heart and will visit those memories always. I love you honey babe."
"My wish through all of this is that now at least River has his daddy with him and I hope the two of you are having the best time."
The actress broke her silence a few hours ago after she confirmed her brother's death late Monday, sharing a photograph of them together on Instagram.
"RIP my brother Patrick Joseph Stone. 🕊️"
She captioned the photo of herself holding Patrick, which she posted alongside another photo of her sibling gazing into the camera.
Her sister, Kelly Stone, and brother, Michael Stone are other family members of The Muse actress (2021). Both are actors as well — Micheal, in particular, has appeared in notable movies, such as Eraser, Highlander II: The Quickening, The Quick and the Dead, and Renaissance Man.
She claimed to be close to Patrick in her book The Beauty of Living Twice and to have improved her relationship with Michael more recently. In September 2018, when they traveled to Alaska with their kids, Sharon last posed for an Instagram photo with the camera-shy Patrick.
Sharon revealed that River passed away in August 2021. The infant died only a few days after being discovered in his crib with "severe organ failure" that had put him in a coma.
"River William Stone. Sept. 8, 2020 - Aug. 30, 2021," was the caption on the actress's video of the newborn.
Stone's younger brother, Patrick, and his wife, Tasha, have three kids and reside in Ohio. River was their youngest child.
The Casino star only mentioned that River was experiencing "total organ failure" and would require a "miracle" to survive in her video obituary, which was set to Eric Clapton's Tears in Heaven. She made no other comments about what exactly happened to River.
Nothing, according to Stone, 64, "helped" her family "sustain the tragic loss" of her nephew and godson like the organs he donated, she revealed in a September 2021 interview with People.
"The fact that my godson was able to save three lives, two infants and a 45-year-old man was sanctuary for our family," she shared at the time. "I can only say that you never, never know when a tragedy will happen in your life or in your family, but this opportunity be an organ donor, it saved us, saved our family."
River's passing occurs at a challenging time for the larger Stone family, which has recently seen several members deal with serious health issues, including cases of COVID-19.
In 2020, a bereaved stone revealed that her godmother and "adopted grandmother," Eileen Mitzman, had passed from virus-related complications.
Kelly, the actress's lupus-suffering sister, and her husband, Bruce, both had the illness and were left "fighting for their lives" before fully recovering.
