While hubby John Legend was singing his heart out on stage, Chrissy Teigen had other plans in mind, and it mostly involved staying back home to take care of their new bundle of joy. The model who gave birth to a baby girl on January 13, 2023, explained why she had to miss out on the Grammys.

The 37-year-old took to Instagram to tell fans why she's had to skip the big night even though she got ready and looked good to be Legend's plus one for the event.

Nothing To Prove

As soon as she was done dressing up, nature took its course, and she decided to lay up on the couch and spent quality time with her new baby girl.

"Happy grammy day!! had a dress fitting, looked around and realized ….what the hell am I trying to prove here. I cannot get up lol."

Everyone in the comments stood in solidarity with the new mom and sent messages of love and support for her decision, including hubby himself, who wrote, "Just sitting there fine AF."

Teigen and Legend Welcomed Baby Esti To Their Growing Family

The model and award-winning singer Legend welcomed baby Esti Maxine in January. They're now a family of 5, including big sister Luna,6, and big brother Miles, 4.

A source close to the family disclosed to ET that Legend and Teigen are incredible parents and have been putting their best foot forward since welcoming baby Esti.

"This is such an exciting time for them as a couple, and as a family. They love being parents and are thrilled to be able to expand their family."

The Siblings Are Happy To Have A New Baby Sister

The source also revealed that Luna and Miles are beyond excited to welcome Esti home, and they already adore her.

"They're both old enough to understand what it means to have a new sibling, and it's been great."
