Superhero actor Paul Rudd shares his secret to his age-defying youth physique. The 53-year-old actor talked about his diet and his fitness regimen. Rudd also talked about his preparations for his superhero role.

However, Rudd credits eight hours of sleep as the most important form of training. He shared his daily routine which starts with coffee and cardio on an empty stomach. Rudd revealed that was something he would not have done before signing up for the role of Ant-Man.

Rudd's Superhero Role Boosted His Interest In Fitness

The 53-year-old said that he lifts weights at least three times a week. Fortunately, his superhero role has helped him to learn so much about his body.

The Living With Yourself star shared his simple and consistent diet plan. The actor said he eats eggs daily and adds salmon to most of his meals. He also shared that he likes protein shake which includes water and a blend of protein powder. Rudd said routine is a human need and he finds it comforting.

The actor recently displayed his taut physique for the promotion of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The image showed the age-defying actor in a new poster rocking his unique red and black suit. The new poster also featured Jonathan Majors, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Kathryn Newton. 

Rudd Said A Superhero Franchise Was Not On His Radar

Getting the role of a Marvel superhero was a big gig but Rudd thought otherwise. The actor shared that his agent had set up a meeting with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. He continued that at that time, Marvel was still new. The Romeo + Juliet star said that a superhero franchise was not on his radar then.

Rudd Was Eager To Try Something New

He never thought such a part could be offered to him. However, he was excited to try something different. Fortunately, he has been a bit hit on the franchise. He has appeared in four MCU movies. Rudd is on his fifth, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will hit theaters on February 17.

The actor talked about how he had to prepare for his role. Rudd shared that he worked hard to get back in shape for Quantumania. He continued that it was harder than it was for the last Ant-Man. Rudd shared "I had fallen off more than I had in the past."
