The Bad Boys Have Always Been Successful

Bad Boys For Life grossed $426.5 million at the global box office, 25 years after the original Bad Boys grossed $141 million.

However, since the Oscar event in which Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, there has been a lot of conjecture about the potential sequel.

One year ago, he slapped Oscars host Chris Rock for joking about his wife's lack of hair.

She shaved to conceal the hair loss she had.

"Keep my wife's name out of your f*****g mouth,"

Smith stormed the stage, slapping Rock.

Despite sweeping the Oscars in controversy, Smith won Best Actor for his performance as the father of Venus and Serena Williams in King Richard - but he did not expressly apologize to Rock.

He Apologized To Chris Rock

Smith apologized to Rock for the first time in March. He issued a lengthy message on Instagram, stating that "violence in all its forms" is unacceptable.

In July, he delivered another groveling apology to Rock, revealing that his erstwhile pal hasn't forgiven him for hitting him on stage at the Oscars.

Smith said he'd spent the previous three months 'working' on himself and recognized now how many people he'd wounded when he hit Rock on stage at the Oscars.

And he apologized to Rock's family for his conduct. Rock has told Will that he is not ready to talk about the incident, but Will says he will wait until he is.

Will also apologized to his wife Jada.

However, Martin Lawrence confirmed to Ebony during the summer that he and Will were still on the hook for one more Bad Boys picture.

“We got one more at least, for us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office — that two Black stars, two sitcom stars, could make money at the box office [was huge].”

Lawrence said in July.

No doubt the duo would blow our minds again with this one.
