Martha Stewart’s youthful looks are the talk of the internet right now.
The lifestyle icon may be 81 but she certainly didn’t look her age when she posted several selfies on Instagram taken during a recent trip to the salon. And no, it wasn’t a case of too much Facetune, she claimed.
Stewart took the photos while having her hair shampooed at Frederic Fekkai and “the light was perfect for a new selfie!!!” she wrote in the caption.
In the first photo, her complexion looked flawless as she puckered up for an extreme closeup.
“Absolutely no re-imaging!!!” she wrote. “Skin looking good after a mostly dry January and pilates @bedfordpilates every other day. By re-imaging I meant no filtering my selfie !”
The founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia later shared another carousel post with three more salon selfies, all showing off her gorgeous complexion.
“My expression was better in the first one but my skin looks great in all of them,” she captioned it.
She reiterated that the pics were all natural and the gorgeous face was the result of good skincare.
“Un filtered. No face lift. Great derms my whole life,” she wrote.
The businesswoman and TV personality gave a shoutout to her dermatologists and also revealed that her ageless beauty stemmed from a “great diet,” “great exercise,” and “amazing facials for the last forty years” courtesy of Mario Badescu.
Her post got a lot of heart emojis and supportive comments. Mario Badescu thanked her and said it was an honor to do her facials. Celebrity makeup artist Kristofer Buckle, meanwhile, commented that he’d always been impressed by her beautiful skin whenever he did her makeup.
However, many commenters weren’t as supportive and didn’t believe the “no filter, no facelift” claim.
“Absolutely no re-imaging come on please. Please be truthful honest and real,” one wrote.
Another person enumerated the cosmetic procedures they thought Stewart had gotten: “Fake lashes, Botox, filler, collagen lips & a face lift for that natural look.”
One follower said she looked amazing but asked her to “be honest about your facial regimen. Using Botox, fillers, laser treatments, etc. to help enhance your beauty it’s not just diet, exercise and facials.”
And another simply found the whole thing strange, saying “I love Martha ..but This. Is a weird post.”
