Olivia Wilde & Jason Sudeikis Bond Again After Contentious Year

The co-parents were recently spotted out in Los Angeles looking friendly with each other. The pair were seen in casual clothing that included jeans and sweatshirts, but there was nothing typically casual about their appearance. According to TMZ, the Horrible Bosses actor and Booksmart actress just finished a meeting that went well as they casually strolled on the street. They eventually closed in and shared a warm hug before going their separate ways.

A look back at the couple's 2022 is enough to assume that the dust has settled and they might as well be on the way to fixing their publicized feud. Sudeikis and Wilde had between them a number of low blows, shades, and custody issues. One of these was when Sudeikis was said to have delivered legal papers to his ex-partner while she was at an event. However, he claimed it was not an intentional move. Wilde on the other hand described it as "vicious." The Tron: Legacy actress' relationship with music star Harry Styles also seemed to worsen the rift.

Sudeikis and Wilde were engaged for seven years before going their separate ways in 2020. At the time, sources revealed that it was an amicable split. They were also said to be having a smooth transition into their co-parenting style. The 47-year-old actor would later thank Wilde at the Critics Choice Awards for helping him shape the success of his TV series, Ted Lasso. He said at the time:

By 2021, the House actress was romantically linked with the As It Was singer. The pair were first spotted holding hands at a wedding ceremony.

The court documents were delivered to Wilde as she spoke to some executives in the film industry during the April event. Following the chaotic episode, she and the Hall Pass actor appeared in court where the latter claimed that their kids' primary place of residence was in New York. However, the judge dismissed his claim while noting that they mainly lived in California.

In 2021, Sudekis made it known to GQ that he was yet to come to terms with how their long-term engagement ended. He stated that it would take him a few years to get a "better understanding." He said about their separation, "That’s an experience that you either learn from or make excuses about. You take some responsibility for it, hold yourself accountable for what you do, but then also endeavor to learn something beyond the obvious from it.”

While speaking on the Kelly Clarkson Show, the movie star made it known that her kids were finding it hard to transition through her and Sudeikis' separation. She stated that their situation allowed her to have some deep conversations with their children. Wilde mentioned that although it was tough with the process of reshaping her family, it helped her get to know her children in a different way.
