NY Shelter's Hilariously Honest Ad for Demon Dog Goes Viral

On January 17th, they shared everything about Ralphie, a white and black French bulldog that, despite his adorable looks, might be a little too much for most people. In the picture, Ralphie looks harmless, but they described him as "a terror in a somewhat small package," as he only weighs 26 lbs.

The shelter wrote that Ralphie has been in two previous homes; however, he was returned for different reasons. In the first place, the owners weren't happy with his bossy attitude, while in the second home, he didn't get along with the other dogs.

"Ralphie is a fire-breathing demon and will eat our dog," they wrote, as a joke that might be closer to the truth than you think. But, then, they explained that every owner he has ever had, has left unsaid his quirky, unique traits, but they prefer to be straightforward about Ralphie's particular personality.

According to the shelter, Ralphie tends to be a little bit possessive of everything that he gets his little paws into. You can't fight him, and you can't let your guard down because he will take advantage of you, as they described.

They are looking for a new home for Ralphie, they jokingly said that his perfect place would be with the Mother of Dragons, but more on a serious note, he should be in a home without other animals.

Ralphie prefers to be let alone; he doesn't like to share his space with other dogs. They added that he needs an owner that would allow him to lay calmly whenever he wants without bothering his peace.

They ended Ralphie's introduction by saying that whoever takes him will receive several training tools from his previous home and won't take him back if they want to return him (but they were kidding on the last part).

Ralphie's story moved people in the comments. While some users wanted to donate to help with his and other dogs' expenses, others offered him a home with the required characteristics. For example, someone wrote, "Ralphie can be the boss here cause it’s allowed."

Other French bulldog owners shared their experiences; they said it is very common for them to act this way, but with patience and love, they eventually learn to behave better. A user said, "Sounds like his original owners did not do their research on frenchies. Frenchies can be little stubborn brats and they need training as soon as they open their eyes lol."

A few days later, they made another post about the adorable jerk, as many people were interested to know if he was adopted. They shared pictures of Ralphie's road trip to Joann Fabrics, where some staffers tried to dress him up but failed.

Ralphie wasn't a fan of the Bills' jersey they tried to put him on; he rathered sit on it. As for the drive in the car, he didn't like it either. They said, "He was a complete lune in the car, bouncing from front to back so he had to be tied to the headrest."

Still, Ralphie behaved way better than expected, so much so that he ended the day with a pup cup. They said that he stood still while a stranger greeted him, and he even sat and gave the paw when they asked him, so he's progressing successfully.
