Priscilla Presley's tribute to her beloved daughter Lisa Marie Presley at the just-concluded public memorial held in the latter's honor was one filled with thought-provoking words and deep-seated emotions. She paid respect to her iconic daughter with words that resonated with her life and times.

Priscilla Spoke About Lisa Maries Life

The 77-year-old took to the podium remembering her daughter through all that she represented. This included her life as an entity and her love for children, Benjamin and Riley Keough, Finley, and Harper Lockwood. Priscilla's address addressed the audience by reading a write-up and a poem put together by one of her granddaughters.

Priscilla's Words Were Profound

Speaking of her only child, the A-list celebrity made it known to fellow mourners that she was reading items prepared by one of her granddaughters. Priscilla started, "I'm going to read something that my granddaughter wrote, for all of you. And this says it all."

The Presley matriarch then proceed to read out the composed piece from her cellphone, just as it was addressed. "I have no idea how to put my mother into words. The truth is, there are too many," the item read.

Tribute To Lisa Marie

The Now What crooner was described as "an icon, a role model, and a superhero" to people all over the world. The writer stated that as their mother, Lisa Marie was her personal icon, and role model superhero, and in more ways than they could count. The writer relayed that they couldn't find enough words that encompassed what Lisa Marie represented.

'The Old Soul'

Priscilla proceeds to read the poem which was also composed by Lisa Marie's unnamed daughter. The people titled The Old Soul started in a narrative turn taking it back to when Elvis Presley and Priscilla welcomed their only child. The piece of literary work read that the singer was born in 1968, a delicate but strong child.

She was described as someone who knew "she wouldn't be here too long." The poem progressed through Lisa Marie's childhood to when she became an adult and built her own family.

The Poem Alluded To Benjamin Keough

At one point, the poem noted how Lisa Marie welcomed her second child, "leading her suspicion." While fighting back the raging tears, Priscilla read the tribute poem, "Could this be the angel who takes me home?" She noted that time flew by, and "it was time for a tragedy." The poem referenced Lisa Marie's heartbreak over her son's death, before reading on that the singer was "home where she always belonged."

Who Was in Attendance?

As reported by ET, Priscilla, her granddaughters, and other family members were joined by their celebrity friends including Lisa Marie's longtime pal, Sarah Ferguson, Elvis actor, Austin Butler, and singers, Billy Corgan, Alanis Morisette, and Axl Rose among others. A slew of fans in their hundreds also made it to Graceland while others were present via live stream.

Lisa Marie Is Buried

The music star was laid to rest close to her late beloved son, Benjamin, and across from her father. The other family members buried in Graceland's backyard include Lisa Marie's grandparents, Vernon and Gladys. Her great-grandmother, Minnie Mae was also laid to rest there. The remains of Elvis's twin brother, Jessie, who died at birth are also buried on the Memphis property.
