Chrissy Teigen is letting fans in on her postpartum journey.
The 37-year-old model and TV personality welcomed her and hubby John Legend’s third child, a girl they named Esti Maxine, on January 13. Now she’s giving fans an update on how she’s taking care of herself post-pregnancy.
Teigen shared a photo on Instagram Stories exactly a week after giving birth, which she captioned, “sent love and healing to my womb today!” It shows her sitting between Legend and Princess McKinney-Kirk, the founder of bengkung belly binding business Bellibind.
Wearing a green belly binder and a black bra in the pic, the new mom continued her caption, “thank you so much @bellibind !! what a beautiful experience today! sorry for the snores :) will be gifting to every new mom I know!!”
According to Bellibind’s website, bengkung belly binding is a traditional Malaysian practice that involves wrapping the abdominal area for postpartum healing, support, and protection.
McKinney-Kirk founded her business in 2013 with the goal of helping moms “get their bodies back” after pregnancy. Not to be mistaken for shapewear or waist cinchers, Bellibind “feels like the best HUG ever” for the abdomen, providing comfort rather than constricting the body.
Esti Maxine is Teigen and Legend’s third kid following 6-year-old daughter Luna Simone and 4-year-old son Miles Theodore.
The power couple first announced in August 2022 that they were having another child. Teigen’s pregnancy came almost two years after they lost their baby boy Jack at 20 weeks due to partial placental abruption.
Legend, 44, broke the news of Esti’s birth while performing at a concert on Friday night, January 13, telling the audience that the little one arrived earlier that day. He added that he was by his wife’s side at the hospital and was sleep-deprived but full of energy.
Recently, both he and Teigen shared the baby’s first photo on Instagram. The pic shows older sibs Luna and Miles cradling the little bundle of joy.
In her post, the Cravings cookbook author thanked friends and fans for their well wishes and said that her hubby “sheds nightly tears of joy” and the older kids are “so full of love.” She also joked about needing diapers even if she had a C-section.
