Lisa Marie Presley Memorial Set to Take Place at Graceland and Livestreamed

Updates on the final respect to be paid to music royalty, Lisa Marie Presley, show that the public memorial service will be held within the premises of Graceland. The famous property belonged first to her father Elvis Presley and was passed on to her when he died.

The General Public Is Invited

The organizers of the public memorial invited the general public to be part of the event physically and digitally. For those who will not be present on ground, the memorial will be live streamed and it will be held on January 22, at 9 a.m.

The Announcement For A Memorial Was Earlier Made

Back on Monday, a representative for Lisa Marie made it known that the public service has been arranged to take place on the front lawn of Graceland Estate, Memphis. The service will be followed by a procession to behold Lisa Marie's final resting place in the Meditation garden. The guests on the north lawn will be able to join the procession behind family and friends.

Supports Should Be Done In The Form Of Donations

For well-wishers who intended to get flowers for the vent, the Presley family asked that this should be done in the form of donations to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation. The foundation is channeled to funding donations to multiple charity holdings for education, arts, and children's programs.

Lisa Marie's representative also shared how that the family was grateful for the support so far. the statement read, "Riley, Harper, Finley, and Priscilla are grateful for the support, well-wishes, and outpouring of love honoring their beloved Lisa Marie." 

She Will Be Laid To Rest Alongside Other Family Members

Presently, Lisa Marie's final resting place is being readied, and the plot of land is to be excavated close to her father's resting place. Per ET, other family members who were buried on the sprawling property include Elvis' parents, Vernon and Gladys, his twin brother, Jesse who died at birth, and Lisa Marie's son, Benjamin Keough.

While Lisa Marie will be laid to rest at the legendary property she inherited from her iconic father, her daughters, Harper, Finley, and Riley will become the sole owners. The late singer inherited the 17,500 sq ft property at the age of nine and became the legal owner at 25.

Graceland Over The Years

Elvis first owned the estate in 1957 when he purchased it for $100,000. He was 22 at the time. Over the years, Graceland has done well regarding revenue. The majestic estate was converted into a museum in 1982 and declared a National Historic Landmark in 2006. the property received over 600,000 visitors every year and is second to the Whitehouse as the most visited National monument in the United States.
