Craig Comments on Fans’ Fervor Over Iconic ‘Knives Out’ Sweater

Daniel Craig finally chimes in on the fuss around his co-star, Chris Evan''s, clothing in Knives Out. The younger American actor broke the internet with a cream cable-knit sweater that became as iconic as the whodunnit mystery in the 2019 movie.

Last year, director, Rian Johnson, released a sequel with a new ensemble cast as fans follow the Southern Detective Benoit Blanc (Craig) on yet another murder mystery. During the Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery promo, Craig finally answered his thoughts on the internet-breaking cream sweater.

Ransom Hugh Drysdale (Evans) wore the cable-knit sweater in the coffee shop scene with co-star Ana De Armas. In their final meeting, he realized his plan to commit fratricide failed, and the hospice care staff would get away with his father''s wealth.

A year after Knives Out, Evans wore the sweater again in a video with his famous dog, Dodger, and shared it via Instagram. The now-deleted post garnered millions of likes, with fans gaga over the knit sweater.

Despite clearing the video off his feed, fans on Twitter couldn''t get the nostalgia of Evans wearing his iconic sweater off-set. They shared their thoughts with memes and quoted tweets. One person said it was comforting knowing Evans kept the sweater and still wears it.

However, one person remains unimpressed by the sweater - Benoit Blanc, a.k.a. Craig. During his interview with BBC Radio 1, Craig said,

"It''s the bit that goes over my head. I don''t understand. Its like, so Chris Evans is wearing a jumper! He''s just wearing a jumper and the News is like, ''Chris Evans wears jumper''"
