Gordon Ramsay is back in the news as he reveals his top three international food destinations. The Hell's Kitchen star and best-selling author has opened up on where in the world he likes to travel for the best food - and it's high standards from the man who's known for throwing subpar chefs out of his kitchen. Gordon recently hit up Seoul, South Korea to visit his latest pizza joint. He made sure to chat with YouTuber Cho Seung-yeon while out there. Unsurprisingly, the talk was about food.

The video gave a nod to Gordon's U.K. origins and was entitled: "Gordon Ramsay on UK's terrible food reputation." While the U.K. is known for classic dishes including fish and chips, it's not massively regarded as a top foodie country. Ramsay stated that he's a huge fan of Indian cuisine, and does like the British chicken tikka masala dish. For anyone in the U.K., Ramsay recommends the swanky Notting Hill area for a great bite.

Topping the list for the Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares star is Laos and Vietnam.

Thoughts On Laos

Ramsay revealed, "I recently came out of Laos," adding: "Going back to the provinces and spending time in the countryside, away from the tourist traps, the food was just off the charts."

Next up? Vietnam. "Extraordinary melting pot of great food. I fell in love. Such a humble approach to eating incredible food," Gordon revealed.

Going European

While two out of three destinations are in South-East Asia, the final one is in Europe. Gordon revealed being a big fan of Madrid, Spain. "There's so many exciting things going on in Madrid as well," he said. "I get to challenge my palate by traveling all over the world and finding the best locations," Gordon added.

Gordon, 56, remains best known for his reality television appearances and angry, on-screen persona. The restaurant also owns the Gordon Ramsay Restaurants group, one he founded back in 1997.

Busy On Instagram

Gordon continues to update fans on his life via his Instagram, also often sharing family photos with 1996-married wife Tana, plus the couple's five kids. Gordon's Instagram is followed by 13.9 million.

The account also includes a fair few celebrity followers. Keeping tabs on the Brit are supermodel Gigi Hadid, A-Lister actress Reese Witherspoon, No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani, plus socialite Paris Hilton.
