Working from home sounds great, but it comes with its own set of unique challenges. When you're WFH, you need to be a self-starter, you have to be organized, and in the case of dog owners — you need to find some way to keep your pet entertained.

Meet Dash, an adorable corgi with an endearing habit of throwing his toys all over the house. When Dash's rambunctiousness proved to be too much, his parents decided to channel his inner athlete by buying him a basketball hoop.

The results are both heartwarming and hilarious.

Dash has gotten used to his mom and dad always being home but has a hard time understanding why they spend hours out of the day sitting in front of a computer as opposed to paying him all of the attention. He finds their behavior frustrating and every once in a while, it causes him to have a little corgi tantrum. Unlike most dogs, Dash doesn't bark or whine. Instead, he throws his toys around the room in order to make his presence known.

A Rather Impressive Hidden Talent

It was clear to see that Dash could throw items high and far — but how would his accuracy fair? They decided to put it to the test and went and bought him a miniature basketball net. Dash took to his new toy like a duck to water, draining shot after shot as if his name was Steph Furry.

Hoop Mechanics

Dash's parents decided to try attaching his new basketball hoop to the back of the office chair. That way, they could still be a part of Dash's game while sitting and working. However, Dash's athletic talents quickly proved to be too much. The corgi kept missing the basket because he was throwing his toys too high, often swiping his parents in the side of the head. Something needed to be done in order to give the dog a proper challenge — the basket needed to be higher off the ground.

Now That's Dedication

In a desperate bid to prevent damage to the apartment, they adhered a makeshift strap to the backboard and proceeded to wear the entire basketball hoop as a hat. It may look a little silly, but it gives Dash that extra foot's worth of height and allows them to work in peace without fear of having a plush carrot thrown at their head while on a conference call.

As of yet, the NBA has yet to reach out to Dash in order to recruit him for the halftime show, but if The Amazing Sladek can make it with his chair stacking bit, one can only presume that Dash's time to shine is just around the corner.
