Conflict of Ethics

According to the lawsuit filed by Pitt, the former couple had an unwritten understanding that any sale relating to the property would only take place once both had agreed on the same. For the Children

She said, "It is the place we brought the twins home to, and where we were married over a plaque in my mother's memory. It is also the place that marks the beginning of the end of our family - and a business that is centered around alcohol. I can no longer be involved, publicly or privately, in a business based on alcohol, when alcoholic behavior harmed our family so deeply."

One of Many

The case over the property is not the only legal battle the former couple is embroiled in. Jolie is still fighting the FBI over the release of records related to its investigation into Pitt after their infamous 2016 private plane altercation.
