How far would your doggo go for you? If you're like most dog owners, you're the most important person in your mutt's life — but you probably don't find yourself in many situations where your dog feels the need to stick up for you.

A video recently shared on Reddit shows exactly what one dog is willing to do when his owner is under attack. The only twist here is that the fight the dog was intervening in was a sanctioned jiu jitsu match.

Interfere In The Match, Get Banished.

The video was posted on the r/AnimalsBeingBros subreddit, which is a subreddit designed to showcase, well, animals being bros. It's just a 13-second video, but those 13 seconds show us what it means to be a very good boy.

The camera immediately focuses on a fluffy black dog — possibly a lab or a shepherd, though it's hard to be sure — trotting across the floor of a jiu jitsu tournament. His posture isn't aggressive, but his quick gait shows that he definitely means business.

The Dog Needed To Intervene.

Every person at the tournament understands that these are one-on-one fights with a referee present, bound by certain rules of engagement. In other words, there's no need to jump in and break things up.

But the dog in this video isn't a person; he's a dog. And he doesn't seem interested in abiding by these human-enforced rules, because his owner seems to be under attack, and that just isn't going to fly.

Fortunately, everyone involved seemed to have fun with the situation. Both the opponent and the ref had a good laugh (and gave the mutt a few pets and pats), and the good boy was carried off and away from the tournament.

Commenters Were Here For It.

It isn't surprising that a subreddit about animals being bros would attract a good number of dog lovers, and that's absolutely the case here.

Even if this dog receives a lifetime ban from all future jiu jitsu tournaments, it all seems pretty worth it.

It's Like A New Form Of Jiu Jitsu.

I'm sure jiu jitsu would look a lot different if big shaggy dogs were permitted to wander into matches to assist their human. Would it cause chaos or would it be the greatest new sport?

All's Well That Ends Well.

It's pretty awesome to see everyone involved in this — both combatants, the ref, the audience, and even online commenters — see it as the adorable event that it was.
