You'll never truly understand what it's like to take care of a young child until you actually do it. For most parents, children can be tough, but the experience is full of love and happy moments. Every parent is going to use different methods to raise their children, which some might agree with and others might not.

A Reddit user recently got into an argument with his wife about how she should be getting their son out of his crib in the morning. Now, he's taken to the AITA community to ask for advice, and see if he was in the wrong.

According to the user, he's pretty involved in looking after his son when he's home, though he does work long hours. He begins his story by talking about how his son has a good winddown routine, which allows him to sleep through the night. Since the OP is out of the home for so long, he checks in on his son remotely via their baby monitor app. The father noticed that his son would wake up around 8:00am, but his wife didn't raise until an hour or two later.

OP states that he talks to his son when he's awake, and then goes to call his wife to get him out of his crib. One day, after calling his wife, he suggested she get their son out of his crib before making their breakfast. The wife got angry and told OP that she doesn't like how he calls her every morning, insinuating that he doesn't let her do her job but OP disagrees with his wife's morning routine. He ended his post by asking for the internet's honest opinions.

Users Were Honest And Divided

Users berate the mother for being negligent.

Many users took OP's side, stating that the wife sleeps too long and that she should be getting the son out of his crib sooner. Some believe she is lazy, while others believe she's downright negligent.

The Wife's Perspective

Other users blame the husband for being too overbearing.

Users believed that OP was micromanaging his wife, and should let her do what she needs to do before getting the son out of his crib. They believed that, so long as the son wasn't in danger, he would be fine.

The Answer Is Not So Black And White

Users debate which parent was in the wrong.

At the very least, it seems that OP cares for his son, but perhaps he could've broached his concerns in a different way.
