Dog Soaks In The Sunset In Adorable TikTok

The short but sweet video shows River, a German shorthaired pointer, sitting on a beach's shore, but turned to face the setting sun in the distance. That's literally all the video has to offer, and yet it's so incredibly wholesome and weirdly entrancing.

At one point toward the end of the video, as Brooke walks closer and closer toward River, the dog gets startled slightly. But she's otherwise calm and relaxing, a contrast to how many dogs usually act.

The video, since being uploaded at the beginning of November, has been viewed 3.4 million times on TikTok. The popular We Rate Dogs Twitter account later reposted the video to the platform, where it was viewed 1.2 million times, and liked by over 80 thousand users.

Thousands of TikTok users flooded the comments section, all of them wanting to express how much the video made them happy. There's something absolutely beautiful about a dog calmly sitting there, enjoying a beautiful view that many of us end up taking for granted. We could all learn a little something from River.

It seemed as if no one had a negative thing to say, which is beautiful in itself. Some commenters wondered what River was thinking about as she sat there. Others believed she was an angel sent from above (which might actually be true).

Plenty of commenters discussed how the short clip made them tear up. Others admitted to watching it on repeat. There's something really wholesome about watching an animal take in the beauty of the world the same way we people would.
