With winter fast approaching, it's nearly time for snow. In fact, a lot of colder climate areas are already experiencing their first snowfalls of the season. Like it or hate it, the cold, icy stuff is here to stay for the next few months.

And while snow has about a million downsides (shoveling driveways and wiping ice off windshields, to name just a couple), there's also a bit of magic to it. You don't have to be a kid to get excited to see fresh snow on Christmas morning, after all!

For one adorable pup, a recent snowfall was her first-ever experience with the stuff. Sophie the dachshund of the TikTok account Sophie Small Legs (@sophethedoxie) not only got to see snow, but ran around in it for the first time in an adorable clip.

Michael Bublé's version of It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas plays in the background as we watch Sophie learn to get her footing in the snow, before frolicking around.

She also does what any dog does when faced with a bunch of snow: she gives it a taste test.
